Hotel Aegeon - Sounio, Athens

Hotel Aegeon was built in the 50's at the foot of Cape Sounio where the temple of Poseidon, one of the most important in Greece, was built.

In 2004, after years of being abandoned it was redesigned and fully refurbished. The project included not only the architectural design but also the interior design and landscaping. The aim of the design was to blend with the natural environment with sober lines and earth colours. All materials, furniture, textiles and accessories were chosen to create an overall feeling of relaxed luxury and to provide a contemporary background that does not takeover.
