The 'Mani' is the middle of the three peninsulas situated in the south of the Peloponnese . It is dominated by the imposing mountain chain of Taygetos (2407m) which runs down the centre of north Mani creating dramatic landscapes and providing astonishing views to the Mediterranean sea from the many small villages that climb the hillside.
The architecture of the area is very expressive and distinctive and reflects the turbulent past of the region and it's social order. It is a rare and most valuable asset of Greece that is now beginning to be embraced by all, including many people from outside Greece who wish to settle in the area or to spend their summers there.
